Reiki, a type of energy healing with its origins in Japan, derives its name from the Japanese terms "rei" (meaning universal) and "ki" (meaning life force energy). Practitioners harness this universal life force energy to foster healing and harmony in the body and mind.
During a Reiki session, practitioners place their hands gently on or slightly above the client's body in specific positions to facilitate energy flow and eliminate any obstructions that could be contributing to physical, emotional, or spiritual challenges. Some individuals may experience sensations like warmth, tingling, or profound relaxation during a session. The universal nature of Reiki energy enables healing to be administered remotely, transcending physical distance and connecting individuals on the same energetic plane within the universe.
While Reiki is commonly used in conjunction with traditional medical treatments, it should not be viewed as a replacement for professional medical care. Research indicates that Reiki may assist in reducing pain, anxiety, and fatigue, as well as enhancing overall well-being.
Have you ever tried Reiki or are you considering it?
